Losing Fat Quickly Is Not Smart

One of the things I hate about all the weight loss fads and all the latest trends is that they concentrate specifically on ‘weight loss’ and not ‘fat loss’. Is there a difference? Well of course there is and you only have to try out one of these low fat or low carb diets to know exactly what I’m talking about. The frustrating thing that a lot of people find with these diets is they lose a lot of weight in the first week or two and then it slowly drops off.
Ever wondered why that happens? Well it’s mainly due to the fact that your body is losing weight from a number of different areas. It’s losing water weight, muscle weight and of course some fat. But the percentage of fat is not always that high so the initial few weeks you are not really losing all the ‘fat’ you’d hoped. It’s the fat that you really need to get rid of here, right?
So, how to reduce belly fat, and more importantly do it safely and keep it off long term. Well you won’t be surprised to know that it’s just a matter of exercising more and eating less. There is no magic formula to all this but there is one formula that makes sense of it all.
1 pound of fat is equivalent to 3,500 calories. So in order to lose 1 pound of fat per week you need to create a ‘deficit’ of 3,500 across the whole of the week, while at the same time exercising more. The exercising will help burn calories and if you then couple your exercises with a small amount of resistance training, you will start to shed ‘fat’ consistently and keep it off.
The key to losing the most fat is the combination of proper nutrition and resistance training which can be done in the comfort of your own home. For example a program like Turbulence Training is the ‘next generation’ fat loss program which concentrates on developing your body to burn fat more effectively. This is the future of fat loss and if you’re truly serious about ‘long term’ getting rid of fat then you owe it to yourself to check it out.
Eat Your Way To A Flat Belly

For those of you looking to get that flat stomach, and I’m not even talking about getting ripped abs, then the following will be a real eye opener for you.
The whole process involved in learning how to reduce belly fat involves a little hard work, whether it’s through some for of weight training to help build up some lean muscle mass, which in turn helps with burning more Fat. Or whether it’s some form of high intensity interval training where you really get your metabolism fired up to burn fat.
But one of the most important variables in getting a flat belly is the food you eat and even more importantly how many times per day you eat that food.
Within the ‘serious’ fat loss fraternity there is a common belief that it is far better to eat more ‘smaller’ meals per day than to eat fewer bigger meals. So rather than having 3 meals per day e.g. breakfast, lunch and dinner you should try and fit in 6 smaller meals which are spaced out around 2-3 hours apart. So in between your 3 main meals you should also include smaller meals too.
The reason for having more meals is so that your body is being constantly fed and you don’t end up letting your body go through periods where it is feeling hungry which in turn affects your metabolism. By eating more often your body will remain in its most effective fat loss state and the metabolism is kept at a high level of fat burning efficiency.
But you must also ensure that each meal has the right balance of protein, carbohydrates and fat. And this is just as critical as the frequency in which you eat. You need to ensure you are not eating too much of any one food type, and if you are also adding some form of workout into the mix then the mix of food types will change slightly because you need to feed your body in a slightly different way after it has been through a thorough workout.
Today there has never been as much detailed information available to help people achieve their fat loss goals. And one thing is for sure that if you need to need to get rid of fat long term then you don’t need to starve yourself to look good, you can eat your way to an ideal body.
To learn more about how to eat your way to a lean, fat-free body, then check out programs like Burn The Fat, Truth About Abs or Turbulence Training. 21st century training for those serious enough to learn and understand what it real takes to lose stomach fat forever.
Drink Your Way To A Flat Belly

There is a general consensus across the fat loss and weight loss industry that to help fat loss you must drink lots of water per day. Some say it’s around 8 glasses per day whereas others suggest you try and drink up to, and in some cases at least, 8 pints or 1 gallon per day.
With so much water all around us and given that our own body is made up of around 60% water then why the need for so much more and can it really help our fat loss efforts?
As you already know the body can’t live for very long without water compared to living without food. And the main reason for the taking on so much water is that it can prime our body for more fat loss and it does that by improving your metabolism.
Just so you know, Metabolism is the amount of energy (calories) your body burns to maintain itself. Whether you are eating, drinking, sleeping, cleaning etc… your body is constantly burning calories to keep you going.
And just to get even more technical, your metabolism is directly related to the efficiency of your kidney when it comes to fat loss. In our case we are interested in the Metabolism of fat and this is what the liver does when it converts your stored fat into energy. Plus, another job of the liver is to also help out the kidney, which only works properly if it gets properly hydrated. In the event the kidney is not properly hydrated it then gets overworked and as a consequence the liver helps out, which in turn reduces its fat burning efficiency. So as you can see without being properly hydrated leads to a chain of events that damage your body’s ability to learn how to reduce belly fat.
So now that you can see the science behind why taking more water on board will help reduce fat then let me give you one more water-related piece of advice. Some research also suggests that drinking ‘ice cold’ water to help to burn even more fat. This is because the body needs to heat up the water in order to benefit from it, and in heating up the water your body will have to burn calories.
I hope by now you are beginning to see why water plays such an important role in your fat loss. And a final tip is to try a piece of lemon or lime in your water as drinking so much plain water can become boring. However, don’t be tempted to try these flavoured ones, which are loaded with sugar. This will be a complete waste of time in your fat loss efforts.

April 26, 2011 by reduceb · Leave a Comment
One of the most difficult things about losing weight is figuring out why it can seem so impossible. After all, you certainly have the motivation you need to lose the weight. You also most likely know some the things you need to be doing in order to drop the pounds. Still, there are a few different reasons that you need to understand in order to answer the mystery of why this is so difficult.
The first thing that can really hold you back is your attitude. Many people have the completely wrong attitude about food. They turn to it for comfort and all the wrong reasons. It can even become the enemy for some overweight people. Food is seen as something that you must fight against instead being seen as something that is delicious and nourishing.
The fact that food is comforting for some people and the enemy for other people (though they both lead to weight gain) might sound counterintuitive. Some people love and practically worship food, while some people are fearful of it and hate it because of what it does to them.
These are both unhealthy attitudes toward food — both of them can also lead to weight gain!
Adjusting your attitude about food and understanding that it is there to nourish you and make your body healthy will go a long way in helping you lose weight. This can be very difficult if you feel that you are addicted to food, or you’re stuck in a pattern of yo-yo dieting. That’s all the more reason why finding a good weight loss program is essential.
Another reason why it’s so hard to lose weight is because you may have unrealistic expectations about weight loss. You may think it should be a lot easier than it actually is for you. This leads to a lot of frustration, which then leads to many “slip-ups”. You are so frustrated and may not be seeing the results you want to see, which can make you fall back into old habits.
Another unrealistic expectation you may have is thinking that it’s impossible to learn how to reduce belly fat. Once again, this is the opposite problem some people have. If you think that it’s impossible to lose weight you may never actually put in the effort that’s required to do so.
It is possible to lose weight as long as you have the right methods and the right attitude. Getting your expectations in check is a very important first step before endeavoring on your weight loss journey. If you’re able to get your attitudes and expectations under control, it will be easier than ever for you to lose 10 pounds in two weeks. This might sound unbelievable, but it is incredibly possible.
You owe it to yourself to fully realize and understand that it is not hard to lose weight once you have the right mindset and strategies. Getting rid of those thoughts that hold you back is extremely important — and it’s something you need to do right away. After that, you’ll be ready to lose that weight fast!
